Welcome to Emerald Coast Interview Consulting. If you are viewing this, you have purchased or are considering purchase of the interview success package and are ready for the “fast track” process to prepare for your upcoming interview.  The timeline is a rigorous schedule but has proven effective in assuring you are prepared, confident, and ready to face any challenges that come your way on interview day. Let’s get started!

  • Review your calendar and set aside time for 1-2 webinars (will need at least 10 hours to complete audio/video/self-study before webinar, so plan accordingly) Sign up by clicking “Events”, or “schedule a seminar/webinar” and selecting a webinar/seminar that fits in your schedule, click “find out more” on event, under “tickets” change number to “1” and click “add to cart.” then “place order” You will then be sent specific instructions about webinar.
  • If interviewing with UAL, FDX, or SWA, sign up for a specialty webinar geared towards either the PASSENGER CARRIER CRM or the CARGO CARRIER CRM or a brief review of the UAL TSA from our perspective.
  • Send in a top-off request that should take place 3-5 days before your interview date.
  • Begin run through and note taking of the 10 hours of audio/video/self-study on member courseware. Be familiar with the 3 rules for Dealing with Conflict, the SARR technique, and the 5 step model for Hypotheticals
  • Begin forming your 3-5 minute introduction with tips from member courseware. Mandatory to have done before webinar.
  • Gain a good understanding of List Questions, Hypotheticals, Conflicts, and TMAAT and begin forming 10-15 scenerios/stories from your flying career that can be used in the following categories: safety, customer service, work ethic, leadership, mistakes you have made, diverts, emergencies, or fuel situations, dealing with fatigue, following or breaking rules, strengths, weaknesses, qualities of good FOs and Captains, and professionalism
  • After audio/video courseware is complete, type intended airline in the search window at the top right of ECIC web page to access trip reports.
  • As soon as you receive an interview invite, go on-line and review your application. Make sure all GPA reporting matches your transcripts, any past check-ride failures or downgrades are reported, and that you have met requirements related to tickets, arrests, etc… Sooner rather than later is best at any changes to application!  Update any flight time.
  • Purchase or prepare interview suit, shoes, backup shirt, and tie.
  • Research intended airline’s core values, mission statement, and community involvement. Discuss what is important to your spouse or significant other about working for this company.
  • Make your travel plan to get to and from interview.
